First Point, Noosa- Alex Knost looking as comfortable on the end of a wave as he would a Cadillac.
It seems that the sun only wants to shine and the waves pump during an event or on school holidays in Noosa (fingers x’ed for easter!), but hey we are a tourist town, so it’s always nice if we can share a little with visitors! Alas though, now that everyone has left the rain is back and the waves have gone. Not the most inspiring photo conditions!
So this weeks post I’m sharing images from lasts weeks Noosa Festival Of Surfing, Duct Tape Invitational. Which hosted the worlds best traditional/contemporary long boarders. The event really proved the breeding ground Noosa is for this talent, with 3 of the 4 finalists being from our home town, the only visitor being from the US, Orange Counties, Alex Knost.
So bets were in Noosa’s favor that one of our own would take the title, and if ever a crown was necessary this year it would be definitely sitting on the head of Harry Roach, who not only took out the Duct Tape, but also the Logger Pro and the Nose Rider. Mr Roach was definitely King!
See you next week.
